Overview
FundFloor is an innovative real estate technology company created to tackle a specific, entrenched problem in the Nigerian housing market: the informal, opaque, and highly inefficient management of rental caution fees.
The Challenge
In the Nigerian real estate rental ecosystem, caution fees — deposits meant to cover potential property damage — are largely unregulated. Tenants struggle to seamlessly pay, track, and ultimately recover these deposits, while landlords and property managers lack transparent systems to manage them fairly.
FundFloor needed a robust, highly secure, and user-friendly technology platform to digitize this entire financial lifecycle.
Our Partnership & Solution
We partnered with FundFloor as their core technology provider, responsible for bringing their vision from concept to a live product:
- Corporate Website: Designed and deployed their primary marketing website to educate landlords, tenants, and agents on the value proposition, building crucial trust in a new financial product.
- Core Platform Development: Built the proprietary web application that facilitates the secure holding, tracking, and seamless disbursement of caution fee funds.
- UX/UI Design: Created an intuitive dashboard tailored to different user personas (Tenants, Landlords, and Agents), ensuring full transparency and ease of use regardless of technical literacy.
- Infrastructure & Security: Given the financial nature of the product, we deployed the platform on an enterprise-grade cloud architecture. This includes ongoing managed hosting, strict data encryption standards, proactive security auditing, and automated redundancy backups.
Impact
By formalizing caution fees through a transparent digital platform, FundFloor is restoring trust in the tenant-landlord relationship. Our ongoing tech partnership allows their founding team to focus on market expansion and regulatory compliance, confident that their underlying technology is secure, scalable, and continually optimized.
